i think you're thinking of the t-86, a totally different trans.  the
t-85 was related to the t-89.

the t-86 had a nose likt the t-15, small almost-square pattern
different from the t-96, 4.65" retainer, long 1 1/8" input.  won't fit
the stock 6 bell either.  6 bolt top cover like the t-14.
