Yeah, all sources I've read said the same thing.
If it is not clean
or you do not get enough liner to completely coat the tank it will fail.

If I stay with a stock tank on the Conv, should I ever get to it ... :[... I will likely drive up to Renu and drop off the best of the two tanks I have and get it done.
  They have they goo and the time to make sure it is done and they warranty it!
 i'm only about an hours drive from thier shop, so shipping is not a problem for me.

If Joe wants I have a 69 tank here I can take up.
He can give me $20-30 for gas and pay renu to have it done and shipped to him.
I know the tank needs cleaned and sealed, don't know that it even has any rust holes in it.
