Thanks Brian, boy that looks nice, does anyone know if
that will simply bolt up to the head? My concern is that some of them you have
to drill and tap holes, I'm just lookig for something I can slosh some blue goo,
and shove in on there!

    Plastic Eagle valve cover wanted

If anyone has a good one for sale, let me know, had a car
fire not once but twice last night, first car fire I have had since mid
1970s. Not sure what caused it but the middle ports below the carb on
the intake were glowing red, and it set the dried oil there on fire. I
luckily grabbed a pitcher of water after pulling over on I-10 and put it
out. Decided to drive it home as it ran fine, but also took a Tupperware
jar full of water again, and right as I turned corner at my house it
burst into flames again, the whole valve cover was melted and the hoses
too, so I must have been on fire hauling ass down Brittmoore at 70mph,
luckily no traffic. So have to change oil now too, replace the valve
cover (anyone have any tips on doing that on a 82 Eagle?) and change
some hoses. I ran the car after putting out the fire the second time,
and moved the distributor a little as the car had been backfiring
recently, but don't know if this is what caused the fires. After moving
the distributor however it idled and ran fine and the middle posrts
didn't glow, but hell, oil was pumping on them and didn't want to run
the engine long with watery oil either.
So if someone has a good
used valve cover email me directly, and if anyone has any tips on what
caused this mess and/or how to change a plastic valve cover on a Eagle,
feel free to post away here! Thanks a lot to all who may reply. Eddie
