CJ it depends on where you look. Granted everything
has dried up consideraby in recent memory, however if you are not a member of
any of the several MI chapters; most times these fellow can easily point you in
right direction, so it pays to get involved. You could also contact some of my
MI vendors list Stu Ehrhardt, or Jeff Bristow and they can hook you up, ro point
you in right direction. But it will depend on getting involved,a nd talking to
some of the folks in your region. You would be surprised the stuff still out
there.

On the SUAD file on my site it talks about how to
flush shit out of woodwork by running ads. Michigan had some of the highest
volume of AMC sales in the US and there is still more stuff there than some
other states where you could not give away a AMC like AR, MT, UT to name a few.
But you place a wanted ad like I have listed there on the SUAD file and I
guarantee you will have AMCs, 401s, 360s coming out your butt with so many calls
from people wishing to sell, and all price ranges too.

How well does it work? I have never spent over
$2000 for any of the 320 AMCs I have owned. So try it, and if you do, let us
know of the results!

Mopar 360's can be built to make 400 hp. very cheaply but finding a 727
to mate up to a small block is costly. Mopar guys scarf them up so I wouldnt
say no one wants those. Eddie is right about the 318's. Unless you have
mopar engines and trannies sitting around, I would stay away from a mopar
engine. Way too expensive to build a 318 to make good power and big blocks
would cost more to build than a 401.I have alot of mopar engines sitting in
the shed but I am going to put a 401 in my AMC's.  just my 2
    cents....eddie walker

Not sure what this thread is about as have
not been following it, but if anyone here needs schematics of vacuum
lines, most shop manuals have them in back, and illustrated. If I have
that shop manual will be glad to send you photos of that page. Vacuum
lines you might want to check with your state emissions as removing them,
even if shit lines, you will fail emissions test. Some states like here in
Texas, cars 24 years or older are exempt, so the first things to go are
smog pumps, vac lines and other emissions crap that has long since
outlived its usefulness, and amaginly the car usually runs great
afterwards. As for 318s, you can find them fr pennies on dollars at local
pick a part yards, tons of the things no one wants them, also mopar 360s.
As for 401s, I believe Jock on the amc-list amxfiles just posted a ad for
someone who has 5 401s for sale for $500 each, you will have to go back a
day or two in the posts to find it.

On a V8 Mopar engine there is a heck of a lot less vacuum
            lines.

          WTF??compared to what engine? a inline AMC a V8 AMC?and vacuum
lines is the reason why you want to go through hell swapping
          engines?
