You
can have a Delco installed in place of the Motorola's here in Houston for
$75, whihc includes installation. Very easy to do and more amps and
extremely more reliable. I have a Delco on my 68 Rebel convertible
""Machine" with the 401 and I installed it in 1987 and it has been there
since, 127,000 miles no problem except broke a belt years ago. There is a
file on my site under "production/tech" also on how to change this
over. I highly recommend it, especially if you have a lot of appliances on
your car, like this Rebel with electric windows, electric top, electric
wipers, cruise control and other neat AMC options/acessories. Eddie
