Met new Hornet friend, looking for '74 Hornet 4-dr ( or hatchback )

I met a new friend locally, he found me by searching thru the AMC-List
archives. His mother had a 4-dr '74 Hornet sedan, and now he is feeling
nostalgic and wants to find one himself. He's 29, and this is his first real
"love affair" with AMCs. He was amazed at my collection of parts and cars,
and since I just happened to have a '74 Hornet grill given to me by that nice
NASA gentleman Ron Kolecki, I was able to find it a nice home ( for $10, LOL
). Since I'd already spent $100 today at the local Greenberg model train
show, it was income well-received. That will clear another space on my Garage
wall for the other Gremlin grill I have ( I now have 3 extra ones ). If
anyone gets a lead on a '74 Hornet of ANY type, please forward either to me
directly, or to this nice young man at PatFan723@xxxx . He looked thru my
vast* library of AMC stuff, researching the Hornet production numbers, looks,
options, etc. I also gave him a N.A.D.A booklet from the '70s with the front
view lineart of all the AMC cars, as I have several extras from my trip to
Hershey, PA swap meet this past fall. I also gave him a copy of the AMC
hubcaps, he has been trying to describe them to people, and they just scratch
their heads....heh heh! He seems full of interest and intrique into this old
marque, and although wants a Hornet, is in no rush. He want's a running,
decent car for about $1,500 or under, no rusties or major project car. Hey,
if I can find a running Gremlin GT for $200, I guess a Hornet shouldn't be a
miracle , either! LOL. He can wait, he's in no rush, but I told him don't
wait 10 years, there may not be any left by then! So, although this is a
Gremlin list, a little plug for the Hornets never hurts( hey, we all need
donor parts cars, right? LOL! ( ducking BlkHornetX's thrown objects ) Anyway,
for those of you REAL Hornet fans, you can chat directly with him if you have
something for him. Thank you much!
