Last day of being a Gremlin owner

Dear fellow Gremies,
I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch but a guy is on his way
from Erie PA to Chicago to buy my 1970 Gremlin.
I have been sitting in the garage with it since I got back from church this
morning. I have owned it for almost thirtyfour years. I can't begin to tell you
the memories in that car.
I just wanted to say good by to the Gremlin Group. I will sign off for sure
later tonite. I appreciated running into you folks on the internet about three
years ago. Until then , I thought I was the Alamo for Gremlins. I didn't know
anyone else that owned one. Your conversations have taught me much about a car
I have had a really great time in.
I bought the car two months after they came out in April of 1970. I was 18
and got drafted for Nam straight out of highschool. I'm going on 52 in October
so I can say the car has been a part of my life. I have owned two other 1971's
but I always hung on to my original 1970.
I'm selling it to a guy who has four other Gremlins but didn't have a Two
Passenger like mine. There were only 850 made in 1970 and you'lle be hard pressed
to find one.
I'm giving the buyer every stitch of Gremlin stuff I own. I'm only keeping
one small keepsake.
God bless all of you and your tanks always be full.
