Congrats on a Great Find !
For a 360 conversion you'll need a V8 crossmember
to replace the 258 unit.
Jeeps normally only came with a 304.
AMC late model engines : cu.in.
304

The 401 has a forged crank and rods.
Finding a 360 :
CAll around to the auto wreckers - .
If one has a unit somewhere they will
usually ship it for about $50.00 extra
if it isn't half way across the US.
I have two 360s -
one has work into it yet has sat - a little stiff
one has 33k on it and a 727 Torqueflite
I'm about 45 min. north of NYC.
Crane Cams has Roller Camshaft Kits
Indy Heads have aluminum heads
Crane also has Roller Rocker Arms
Edelbrock has nice manifolds and carbs
Holly has nice carbs
Hooker/Hedman/by Ed for headers
Mallory or MSD for ignitions
Disc Brake Conversions when you get your
V8 crossmember from another AMC .
