Y'know about 10 years ago, when I bought my 1971 Grem, The '78 Grems were the only
ones I could find. I had a tough time finding 1970-73 grems. This is going to make you sick, but
I found in a salvage yard at that time a 1978 Grem X (not sure if it was Levis) w/ the audi motor.
it was whole and in good shape. The guy would have sold it cheap. I shoulda bought it. i'm sure
it has been long flattened and recycled by now. also in the yard there was a '73 304 black with
the flame sticker package. it was just a body, but at the time I would have done anything just to
have a body of a 304. Come to think of it the yard was full of Grem X Levis and even a 1970
Grem which i haven't seen any of since. All were pretty beat but, wow, to just have been
amongst them. There was even a Hornet trans am with the big Hornet on the hood.
Ahhh the memories. I do know of one place that may still have a cluster of not so rare Grems
rust free in ND. the guy had them up on barrels. there was a '78 plain Grem in there, dark green.
However that was even four years ago so they may have been cleared out also.
Oh well, I know now if i find one to bite the bullet and buy it!
