[AMC-list] rust repair.

hey guys, i need some advice. if any of you have gone and seen my picasaweb album labled "caspers cancer" (or something like that) you can see my PRIDE AND JOY car has lots of rust in the chassis area around the front foot well area. right from where the "frame" comes downward, and turns rearward. it sat for around 20 years in my grandpas field on flat tires. the front of the car sunk, and sat in the mud, rusting out the front floor, and chassis rails. it has gotten bad enough, i dont want to drive it like this. its a '62 classic custom 2 door. the 2 doors are VERY rare i assume, as i have only seen 1 other in person, and seen actual current pictures of 2 or 3 others. i have a 4 door '62 classic sitting here for parts. it has SOLID section that mine is rusted out. if you look at the pics in my album, you can see what im talking about. im SERIOUSLY contemplating cutting out the entire front clip from just below the windshield, down to about middle of the
front seat, and replacing. MAJOR project. this car, i love ALMOST more than the wife. i CANT stand the thought of trashing this car. who thinks im crazy for doing this? can this maybe be done and still have the chassis be strong? from the middle of the front seat on back, car is pretty solid. has a little rust repair needed in the trunk area where the rear bumper mounts also. BUT ITS A 2 DOOR, AND MEANS THE WORLD TO ME!!! i think 99% of people would just scrap it. right?? tomorrow night, front end is starting to get stripped. EVERYTHING. fenders, engine/trans, all suspension ect. unless someone can reason with me why NOT to do this, wish me luck i guess?? o, and IF it all gets done just right, it will all be coated with that tough bedliner junk. if anyone has ever done anything like this, im open for ANY tips. (i think im just going to screw this up and be depressed the rest of my life)
