[AMC-list] Model 20 rearend widths

Quick question for you guys regarding axle housing widths. I know that the 1971-74 Javelin/Javelin-AMX rearends are wider than the 1968-70 Javelin and AMX's are. Something like 2-3" if i remember right? My question is.....How do the Hornet model 20's and Gremlin Model 20's compare in overall width? Spacing bewteen spring pads...etc? Does someone have a dimension chart...etc??? I had "thought" that the Gremlin/Hornet rearend assemblies were the same width as the 68-70 Javelin & AMX...but a fellow told me that they were different yesterday. He knows alot more about AMC rearends than i ever will. I know the Gremlin is the same overall width as a 1957-59 Ford with a 9"...because i put a 1958 Ford 9" under my 72 Gremlin when i started converting it to a 401. Right at 58" from drum surface where the wheel fits....to same on other side. I didn't have any Model 20 rears available at the time. Thanks alot in advance, Joe
